Me with my cow-like sofa.
Seriously, I was freaking nervous for the interview today! Plus my flu wasn’t making it any better. My scheduled interview timing was at 2pm, but I reached LASALLE at like what? 12.15pm!! Oh god, but I had to photocopy my documents and stuff. Lost my way like 2386241 times to-day. AND ON TOP OF IT, the weather was scorching HOT. Practically burning.
I was actually the FIRST person to reach LASALLE for the interview because I was so afraid that I’d be late. But then actually it was too goddamn early. I made the first move and made friends with a girl named Juliana, then Jaclyn, then Sabrina. All 4 of us are aiming for different courses haha. Juliana - Photography, Jaclyn - Interior Design and Sabrina - Fashion Design. Juliana’s photography was amazing, superb, fantastic. It was basically gorgeous. Then Sabrina told us that it was her second time going for LASALLE’s interview cus she failed her previous one like one month ago. Pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
The interview process was long. It took like 2 whole hours, but it was quite fun actually. Made new friends!! Ridzuan (Same grey contacts as me LOL!!!), Seon (Shawn?), Serena (Forgot her name!) & Zhao Hai/Vincent. All 8 of us were in one interview group. Our lecturers were Nadia and Rasheed/Rashid. It was super fun. But basically my portfolio was crap, I think i got the lowest grade on the scale of 1-5. But guess I did pretty well on the presentation and discussion part. The first thing we did was actually choose our best piece of work and explain the concept/idea behind it. Zhao Hai’s portfolio was impressive. He did oil paintings, water colors, self portraits, portraits and everything you can imagine. He had a lot of meanings and explanations to his designs and works. Amazing. And yes he’s from China. Awesome.

LASALLE College of the Arts Campus.
Rashid told us that our group’s drawings were not very strong. Think he’s just trying to say it in a nice way, rather than WEAK! But yeah, overall the interview went pretty well. I’ve got a 50-50 feeling about it right now. So Rashid and Nadia asked if we had friends in LASALLE and of course I mentioned Yakka, my saviour. And both of them went like, ‘OHHHHHHH YAKKA!! Wah that one, ‘A’ student ah I tell you.’ and ‘That girl very very hardworking seh. If the lecturer never say anything about her work, she will re-do the WHOLE THING again!!’ I was like, O.O how true. Yakka rocks. In the end, they told us lots of stuff about LASALLE. I just knew LASALLE’s campus has no canteen.
Please please I hope they’ll email me on Monday and tell me I’ve been accepted! I really really really want to get into LASALLE. It’s my dream, my hope and MY FUTURE. I might major in Graphics Design but it’ll depend on how my foundation studies year go. Might discover some hidden talent within myself in other aspects. Hehehe

I hope you get in! Don’t be too disappointed though if you don’t get in, just try to learn from the process and improve your work, and hopefully you then will get another chance to try and get in.
awesome!
hope we both go far then, haha =]
